Crossing guards who escort children through the dangerous intersections in the community have come together to endorse a bill that would give them the same legal protection as other school officials. Under current Pennsylvania law, crossing guards are not included under the statute that protects police, school and municipal officials from aggravated assault. Under the new bill, any person who attempts to, or intentionally causes, bodily injury to a crossing guard could face as much as 10 years and prison and/or a fine of up to $25,000 dollars
Hope that they get it to. I have seen people fly by when the crossing guard starts to come out, just so they don't have to wait a minute. They do it for buses to. They don't give a crap if they hurt someone, just want to get where they are going. |
